For environmental reasons Heart-Tantra supports a 'NO FLYING POLICY' and therefore now only offers workshops, holidays and retreats around the British Isles, Ireland and France.
The relevance of Heart-Tantra work to environmental and global change......

Humanity is in crisis. We are rapidly managing to change planet Earth in such a way that our ability to sustain human life on it is at threat. In the West many of us have become disconnected from nature itself and we 'use' our environment simply as a disposable commodity for our personal lifestyle needs rather than recognising that we are a part of it. What we do to the planet we do to ourself.
If we are to have any chance of living in balance and harmony with nature
we need to change our relationship with it in a RADICAL way.
As individuals and collectively we can do something from this moment on.
Not only in practical ways (more information and links at the bottom of
this page) but also by changing our relationship inside of us towards ourselves
and our environment.
The more we learn to live from love and compassion, the more we will experience
love and compassion for others and our environment. This in turn opens our
heart to a deeper level of awareness, and naturally and effortlessly changes
the choices we want to make in how to live our lives day to day in a way
which is more in harmony with Nature and with love and respect for all life.
This is NOT about having to sacrifice, it's about abundance and transformation
from WITHIN.
"No prison can contain the freedom that we gain when we move through fear"
lyrics by Shannon Smy of Seize the Day
When we stop the endless internal war waged daily on ourselves, we cease needing to wage war on others.
When this happens, compassion naturally unfolds and our choices in life support a more peaceful heart, rather than an endless battle of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. When we finally realise that material wealth will not free us from our internal suffering and we find a different way to come into balance, our hearts open and love flows. We begin to notice the suffering around us, both in humanity and the planet and we feel motivated to try to come into harmony and balance with it.
"If you want to create peace in the world, you don't need to travel the world saving others, go home and save yourself first"
quote by Mother Teresa
From Denial to Despair...
When we hear information about the current state of the planet we often
want to deny its validity. This can be because it feels too difficult or
overwhelming to face and we feel small and inefective.
It's also inconvenient to our personal lifestyle, our income and our security,
we don't want to lose our 'quality of life'. So we choose stay in denial
as it's easier that way. Then if we do decide to open and see what is happening
we can very quickly jump from denial to despair and feel emotionally overwhelmed.
It can leave us feeling powerless and helpless to believe that me as one
individual can really do anything that will make a difference.
We miss the alive space in between denial and despair where
action and change happen.
It's this space that Heart-Tantra invites us to live.
"If you think you are too small to be effective you have never been in bed with a mosquitoe"

We have everything we need already to sustain humanity in harmony with
this beautiful planet. The only ingredients missing are our SELF EMPOWERMENT,
our ACTION and our LOVE!
Even the smallest offerings to the biggest ALL DOES make a difference. . .

To be or not to be - Vegetarian ?
- More than 25 billion animals are killed each year for food in the United States alone. That statistic is staggering considering the fact that there are only 6 billion human beings in the entire world. Eating meat takes an environmental toll that generations to come will be forced to pay.
- Raising animals for food causes more water pollution in the U.S. than any other industry - because animals raised for food create 130 times the excrement of the entire human population - 87,000 pounds per second! Much of the waste from factory farms and slaughterhouses flows into streams and rivers, contaminating water sources.
- More than 260 million acres of U.S. forest have been cleared to grow crops to feed animals raised for meat, and another acre of trees disappears every eight seconds. The tropical rain forests are also being destroyed to create grazing land for cattle. Fifty-five square feet of rain forest may be razed to produce just one quarter-pound burger.
- More than half the water consumed in the U.S. is used to raise animals for food. It takes 2,500 gallons of water to produce a pound of meat, but only 25 gallons to produce a pound of wheat. A totally vegetarian diet requires 300 gallons of water per day, while a meat-eating diet requires more than 4,000 gallons of water per day. If we each cut down to 50% or even just 30% of the amount we each eat this would have a significant positive impact.

a balanced diet without meat. . . .
